That boy he was home
Most of the day
He said to come on
So what could I say

We went out the door
Then we got in the truck
Hey where we going?
Tell me whats up

Is this gonna be fun?
I wanted to ask
He’s got a plan
So I was just glad

Im still kinda nervous
In the big white truck
But its got lots of room
Wow what luck

We went and we walked
All these places to see
So many smells
I ran out of pea

I thought it was ok
It seemed kinda fun
I got to just look
And I didn’t have to run

He looked kinda tired
So we stopped and we sat
So much around us
Hey what was that?!

He said it’s a squirrel
And no I couldn’t have it
Sorry big guy
Its kind of a habit

So we sat there a while
And I drooled a whole lot
He brought me water
Cause man it was hot


So after a bit
We got up again
Back to the big truck
And home once again

Im still not to sure
About this new life I got
Just hard to believe
But I’ll give it a shot.

So back in the house
On my big pillow I lay
How lucky I am
Just to be here today

So tell all my buddys
Still running real fast
Im doing okay
And im home at last.

So invite my fast friends
Into your home today
Hey we really are

I would love to see them printed up on a big poster board
with picutres of our dogs all over ( the board)
illustrating the images the poem describes
and to set it up on a meet and greet table
at events.
I think it would be really GREYT !!!

that would be really neat, i dont think i have ever had any of my work put up like that. i really like the idea, i have wanted to do that on the website some how but not sure how to do it. im just happy everyone likes them.

Good idea Totty. We have the big display with pictures that we use at (non-Petsmart) M&G's. I will print off the poems and laminate to add to the board.
