In April Jilli started limping after a run with the boys.

For about a week I thought she had just pulled a muscle. Took her to the vet and they took X-Rays. The X-Rays did not really show anything, so we started giving Deramaxx to help with any swelling.

Fast forward a month....

Jilli's limp had gotten worse and more pronounced. I took her back to Dr Crawford last week. This time the news was not good. The shoulder bone shows signs of cancer.

He discussed amputation, but it is risky and since Jilli is already weakening in her rear end. It does not seem feasible for her.

She is now on 50mg Tramadol 2X per day. We will manage her pain and take one day at a time.

I love my girl and will cherish our time together.

Right now she is still her usual self except with a limp.

Mom can I puh-leez have the marshmellow?

Marshmellows are bed time snacks... but she has had cheedar cheese, licked 2 plates, had chicken flavored rice, popcorn and thin sliced chicken.

Nope not getting extra spoiled now at all.

ok and 2 marshmellows from her skin brother.
